Real Wedding Wednesday :: Rachael & Carlo’s Engagements

{The Proposal}

Carlo reserved the new Museum of Natural Science and History in Fort Worth – the night that officially marked the next chapter of our relationship.

The week before, he asked if we wanted to go see a VIP Premier showing of a new movie at the Planetarium, I said “of course!” We walked up the front steps, he handed me our tickets (date, details, etc) and a staff member welcomed us.

Leading up to the theatre, I still had no clue! Sure, there weren’t many people. But isn’t a VIP showing of anything usually pretty small? :) We sat down and within minutes one my favorite Michael Buble songs came on… then a picture of me… then a picture of Carlo. Just like a movie trailer, but it was all about us. Five minutes of memories, words, inside jokes, pictures and quotes led to… “He knew he had met the woman he would spend his life with but there was only one question left… Rachael, will you marry me?” written with a laser in what looked like the sky. WOW – the staff and everyone were in on it. How did I not know? :)

He got down on one knee and the “rest is history” as some would say. Then, we drove to our favorite restaurant and our families were there to toast and celebrate! What a surprise… the perfect way to end an incredibly special day. Let the planning begin!

These darling love birds are tying the knot on September 22, 2012 with a ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel in Fort Worth followed by a beautiful reception at Aristide Event Center in Mansfield.
