I started this company in January of 2008 and I have been passionately obsessed ever since. I prefer to call myself more of a creative director, as I will take your vision and dream ideas and turn them into a reality that fits your venue, style and budget.I take the time to get to know you and your fiancé and how to stylize the wedding around your personalities and vision. One of my rules is that I work for the bride-to-be…. So if you have an over bearing mother (or soon to be Mother-In-Law) and need an ally on your side, that’s me! If you want original ideas and creative thinking I am the right girl for you.I tell my husband all the time that I eat, breathe and sleep weddings and its soooooo true. I am there for you every step of the way, helping you design centerpieces and even pick out jewelry or lingerie. I am a girlie girl with a great eye for style and fabulousness! I believe in getting to know each other before we agree to work together. I will basically become your best friend for the next 6-12 months and if we don’t like each other or trust each other it won’t be a stress free relationship. I customize my packages for each client so you don’t pay for services you don’t want or need. Hey ladies! My name is Sarah; I am in my twenties recently married, I made the trip down to Texas with my loving husband to join the Rachel Events team. I am obsessed with everything weddings, and truly love my job! I am in charge of planning weddings for my awesome clients, the company blog (go read it!!), event preparation, staffing weddings, and I am proudly in charge of all Rachel Events appearances at bridal shows. I’m obviously obsessed with everything weddings, whether your looking for a small intimate setting or an elaborate event, I can make it happen. I love taking someone’s thoughts, pictures, wants and making it into their reality, within their budget and style. Making your day true to your style is what I strive for. I’m a very passionate, hardworking and outgoing individual who will give you nothing less than my best.

Hi there. I’m thrilled you’ve found our site! What a fun journey up-2-i-do will be, and I would be honored to be right there by your side! Whether you have every detail imagined, or you just know this is the person I can’t wait to marry… I’m your girl! My years of experience in event planning, my certification received from the wonderful AACWP organization, and my obsessiveness with perfection equip me to be all you need come wedding day.
When not working on your wedding details I’m typically jogging the lake with my Yorkie Brody, catching a live band at a venue downtown, or driving to Dallas and East Texas to spend time with family. Being in Austin (the best place on Earth) is ever inspiring in this industry. Weddings are one of the most memorable times in your life and I want to make your vision a reality. I live to make clients’ unique themes come to life! I have a flair for classic vintage but love a modern twist; I’d love to collaborate with your style for any of your important life events.
I grew up mostly in a small town outside of Austin (Pflugerville) where I fell in love with the sport of Basketball. Over the years I have earned many individual accolades, but most importantly I earned a full scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington. I graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and earned my certification in Wedding and Event Planning. Currently enjoy working out, singing, dancing, traveling, eating out, and nights out with the girls. I have a substantial background in fashion thus I love to shop and accessorize with nail polish.
I am recently married to the love of my life, and I truly enjoy having my best friend beside me through everything. We recently purchased our first house together in Fort Worth, Texas. I love where I live and I love what I do even more; Proudly serving the DFW and Austin area.
